Teruyuki KAMIMURA is a Japanese patent attorney and is the founding partner of Willfort International Patent Firm, having founded Willfort on 1 March 1993. Teruyuki holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Keio University. Before entering the intellectual property field, Teruyuki worked for the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department.
Teruyuki specializes in patent prosecution and litigation in the electronics and mechanical arts practice areas. He has prepared and prosecuted numerous Japanese and foreign patent applications covering a broad range of subject matter, including electromechanical technologies, electric power, control technologies, semiconductors, communications, image processing, computer hardware and software, business methods, machining and forming, construction equipment, internal combustion engines, hydraulics, electronic materials, and household goods.
As a member of the Japan Patent Attorneys Association (JPAA), Teruyuki served as Chairperson of the JPAA’s Software Committee in 1999; and from 2001 to 2005, as General Manager of the JPAA’s Training Center, Teruyuki instructed newly registered patent attorneys in the drafting of patent specifications, and was also involved in planning of advanced technology training sessions designed to familiarize patent attorneys with various leading-edge technologies.
More recently, Teruyuki is active in providing consulting services in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan on matters related to strategic patenting, inventive problem solving, invention enhancement, licensing, and related topics.
